CE mark and corresponding conformity certificate.
We are proud to inform you that Ferriera Valsider is now able to produce the CE mark and issue the corresponding conformity certificate for the structural steel hot rolled products, as per standards UNI EN 10025-2 and UNI EN 10025-5, destinated to be applied in civil and industrial contruction as well as for engineering purposes.
The aforesaid CE mark is an integration of Quality Management and Control System ISO 9001(2000), issued by TÜV.

Leman Commodities S.A. (Geneva) - October 8, 2005
Leman Commodities S.A. announces that it is now fully owned by Metinvest BV, a subsidiary of a large Ukrainian industrial holding named System Capital Management (SCM). Metinvest BV and SCM, as acquiring entities, had recently received the relevant clearances from the competent antitrust authorities in Switzerland, the European Union and Ukraine. The closing of the acquisition has taken place on October 7, 2005.
Leman Commodities S.A. assures its customers that the said acquisition would enhance the company's activities and expansion plans since the integration into the SCM structure guarantees more export privileges from the steel mills and iron ore beneficiation plants owned or controlled by SCM mainly in the Ukraine. Integration into the SCM structure means, moreover, easier access to Ukrainian transport entities, decrease in delivery time and more comprehensive and guaranteed services. As a part of a larger holding structure, Leman is looking forward to offer more competitive facilities for its worldwide customers. Leman will, nevertheless, continue to supply steel from other mills located in the CIS and other Countries.
Leman Commodities S.A. is greatly enthusiastic about joining SCM and shifting from an independent steel trading concern into a trading house within a large and consolidated industrial and economic structure. Integration into the SCM structure will assure secure supply of steel for Leman's customers, whereas Leman's trading infrastructure and scope of activities will significantly improve SCM's competitive position on the global steel and raw materials market.
